100 Percent of Profits from Searches on redcross.ask.com to Be Donated to the Red Cross' Disaster Relief Fund

EMERYVILLE, Calif., Sep 17, 2004 -- Internet search and portal provider, Ask Jeeves, Inc. (ASKJ), today announced that the Company has teamed with the American Red Cross to aid victims of the recent hurricanes and other disasters. Ask Jeeves has launched redcross.ask.com, a special version of the company's flagship search site Ask Jeeves (Ask.com), to offer people an easy way to help the Red Cross. Ask Jeeves will donate 100 percent of the profits generated from searches conducted on this site with a minimum donation of $50,000 and a maximum donation of $1 million.
Redcross.Ask.com features the same searching capabilities, features and experience offered at Ask Jeeves (Ask.com). The only difference is that all profits generated from this site will go to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund, which enables the organization to provide shelter, food, counseling and other assistance to those in need.
