Mr. Williams joined Prime in 2001 after spending several years as President and Founder of JTW Global Franchise Systems, which offered sales and management training and consulting services to franchised operations worldwide in a variety of industries. Prior to the creation of JTW, Mr. Williams held the position of Senior Vice President and Managing Director of International Development for Cendant, where he led the expansion of global franchising and the entry of eight brands including Days Inn, Ramada, Super 8 and Travelodge. Previously, Mr. Williams had a ten year tenure with Choice Hotels, serving as Senior Vice President of Development for its eight chains, including Comfort, Quality, Econo Lodge, Sleep Inns and Mainstay Suites. He began his career in franchise sales in 1980 with Century 21 Real Estate.

A member of the Executive Committee of the International Franchise Association (IFA), Mr. Williams served as its chairman in 1997. He has also been a member of the American Hotel & Lodging Association and served on its Economy Lodging Council.
