Describe your Christian faith. Where are you at and what are your goals What Scripture verses are important to you Worship gets me close to God. I started singing in the university chorus and have been involved in church performance ministries since. So... to me, part of being a Christian means living in the joy of praising Christ who sacrificed Himself so that I can be renewed, sinless and worthy to stand before the Father. Here's a current favorite verse: 1 Cor. 15:42-43 "So will it be with the resurrection of the dead. The body that is sown is perishable, it is raised imperishable; it is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power..." What would be the perfect setting for a first meeting with a new friend or date Describe it :-) Salutation, ingestion, conversation, ambulation, digestion, connection... What are your favorite activities (Including sports, leisure, artistic/musical, etc.) Church stuff, singing, band stuff, billiards, reading, writing, skiing, film, acting, word games... Describe your current occupation. Do you like what you do What is your dream job I'm going to be a voice actor - you know, radio commercials and stuff. My absolute dream job is being a Christian musician... doing voiceovers is a close second and it can finance the future. Want to hear my demo :) What are some of your personal goals in life My Life Goal is this: To be useful to God... this is why I feel so passionately about my career choices and the girl I'll share my life with. Remember the end of "Saving Private Ryan" Other men died so that he could live, and he wanted to look back on life and feel that he'd earned it - after it was given. Is there anything else you would like to add This is your chance to get in that last (but not least:-) bit of important info that you would like others to know. I swear that everything I've written here is original, except for the parts that are stolen. "The only thing worse than being talked about... is not being talked about." - Oscar Wilde [via Monty Python] Never rent a video that uses the word 'bumbling' in the description. Trust me on this one. Also, Paulie Shore is the devil. The God Thing is non-negotiable... but I believe where you are in your faith is more important than the building you fellowship in. (I grew up Church of Christ and I do prefer acappella singing in worship, but I am NOT hung up on denominational strife. If you are - it's your loss.) DEALBREAKERS: I could never 'date' someone who is antiChristian; tells or allows me to believe something untrue; is not totally available; lives in a different hemisphere; is carnally obsessed; enjoys smoking; or disses "The Simpsons". Well, I guess we could work on that last one together, with aversion therapy.
Short Answers Describe the type of relationship you are looking for. What qualities would you like in this relationship or person Are you seeking a particular age range Depends on how things develop. Ultimately it would be great to find "the one", however God has different plans with each person. I've made at least one very good friend ... really it's a case of God being in control.
Describe a little of your personality and character traits. (Are you funny, laid back, more serious, open, shy, etc. ) A bit shy to start with (like, um, we've talked about the weather, ok, lets try something else). As things get on I open up more. Finding common ground in interest helps things. I'm a mixture of all the personality types depending on the situation, although the choleric aspect is still the least apparent. Once I get to know a person I can be quite witty, but then serious when required. Describe your Christian faith. Where are you at and what are your goals What Scripture verses are important to you Basically a necessity of life in the sense of there really is no other valid choice. Main goal is financial independence - independence from relying on the day job, that is. Scripture verses depend on where I am and what I'm thinking about; Joshua 1:8 and Isaiah 41:10 tend to get returned to on a regular basis. What would be the perfect setting for a first meeting with a new friend or date Describe it :-) Depends a lot on the person and where in the world they are. If already travelled to France for one meeting, which worked really well as we had been emailing for some time so we had got to know each other reasonably well. What are your favorite activities (Including sports, leisure, artistic/musical, etc.) share trading, reading, walking, e-surfing, computer games, board games, rock climbing, table top wargames, skiing (but haven't been for ages) Describe your current occupation. Do you like what you do What is your dream job Call centre operator, it's ok, but I'm still looking for something more than just a job. Where did you go to school (i.e. high school or college/university, etc.) What did you study Did you like it Would you like to do more London, Brighton, Hastings, (all UK of course), Perth, Newcastle. Went to Uni for a while as a mature age student, doing Classics and Mathematics. The work wasn't that hard but I couldn't settle on a degree that I wanted, so it became a little pointless considering the things I wanted to do elsewhere but couldn't whilst studying. What are some of your personal goals in life House, marriage, million dollar income, significance of existence, usual stuff. Just joking ... or am I Moneywise, I want to be able to fund Christian/charity type operations from the profits of stock market trading (ahh, do-able, but not as easy as first thought, grasshopper ...) In church I want to explore the use of ethnic percussion a lot more. Apart from the usual congas/bongos/timbales I used Tabala, Djembe and Arabic Tamborine and currently looking at how to add Bohdran, Udu and Talking drums. Update on the above ... Since doing this our other drummers are no longer available so I'm back on the kit, 12 months after being prophesied over that God was not finished with me on the drums. How did your previous relationship end and what positive lessons have you learned which will help you succeed in future relationships Just another one of those little failures or non-events. We both felt in some degree that it wasn't right. Don't get too involved too quickly as things are not always what they seem. Take time to get to know each other first; if the friendship isn't there to start with its going to be one rocky ride when things get rough. Where were you born Have you ever traveled If so, where What is your ideal adventure Grande Bretagne. Had my sixth birthday in Italy, Venice area. Travelled Australia largely on the south coast between Perth and Newcastle. Ideal adventure Depends who I'm with; I think its the company that makes the difference. Europe would be nice. Is there anything else you would like to add This is your chance to get in that last (but not least:-) bit of important info that you would like others to know. Type of relationship: Open to possibilities
Short Answers Describe the type of relationship you are looking for. What qualities would you like in this relationship or person Are you seeking a particular age range A good one I hope! Don't we all! I would like qualities that promote compatability, which are mutually enriching. I don't propose to list them here as people vary so much and I have an open mind (or am trying to keep it that way!). I guess ultimately its a few core values which do it for me e.g. trust, respect and attraction.
Describe a little of your personality and character traits. (Are you funny, laid back, more serious, open, shy, etc. ) Can be all of the above traits depending on whats happening. Generally positive, outgoing and considerate of others, and treat others how i like to be treated. I think I am a good communicator, deep thinker at times. Love to laugh and have a good time.....I know how to cook and clean (maybe a bit light on the cleaning!), manage money and generally take care of business if you know what I mean.....That may sound a tad dull and unromantic....... Describe your Christian faith. Where are you at and what are your goals What Scripture verses are important to you My faith/belief that God is who he says he is - is everything, yet I do struggle at times with living it out in everything I do, I think I am fairly typical in that regard. Romans is my favourite ..... What would be the perfect setting for a first meeting with a new friend or date Describe it :-) I like Coffee, I hope you do!!LOL! I guess our first meeting will be here......then we'll see from there! What are your favorite activities (Including sports, leisure, artistic/musical, etc.) Love sport, gardening, playing/writing/recording music, Sitting at a cafe reading the newspaper and sipping a nice capauchino..... Describe your current occupation. Do you like what you do What is your dream job I work as a Human Resource Consultant for a Gov't Agency. I am over this job so am entering a period of transition into something else, it is both scary and exciting, My dream job is just around the corner...... It is important to maintain respect for each other, this takes work.......I don't think I will truly know what I have learnt previously until I am in a new relationship.......should that be God's will. Type of relationship: Open to possibilities
Short Answers Describe the type of relationship you are looking for. What qualities would you like in this relationship or person Are you seeking a particular age range I'm interested in getting to know some more people with similar life goals. More specifically, someone who loves Jesus. I am attracted to people who are sure of themselves and confident and love to have fun. Someone who likes talking about "life" and enjoys being around people. I love spending time with people who are not only considerate and compassionate but love to experience the the adventure of Jesus.
Describe a little of your personality and character traits. (Are you funny, laid back, more serious, open, shy, etc. ) More than anything, I'm a pretty senstive guy, I really care about people and how they are doing. People usually feel very comfortable with me because I tend to be pretty easy going, but the more I feel comfortable around people I can be quite funny. I'm pretty patient until it comes to sports...then I'm down right competitive ;) More than anything, I love to build into people and seeing them reach their potential. One thing I've been accused of is being an idealist. A nice coffee house...with a fireplace. What are your favorite activities (Including sports, leisure, artistic/musical, etc.) I love to be outside doing physical activity, doesn't really matter what it is, just love it. One of my fav team sports is doubles beach volleyball and have a great partner so it's a ton of fun. I love to race in marathons and triathlons and the occasional adventure race. One of my all-time fav sports is soccer which I have played since I could walk and still play competitively to this day. Describe your current occupation. Do you like what you do What is your dream job I have the best job ever...my own business...I could tell you more about it if you like. Dream...I have often thought about one day going back to Africa to open up an orphanage. Where did you go to school (i.e. high school or college/university, etc.) What did you study Did you like it Would you like to do more British Columbia, and still thinking of doing some more. What are some of your personal goals in life I realized I had to do some updating on these. Thankfully, keep crossing off the list. Race in the Boston Marathon (DONE), debating an Ironman, and to get to all the continents of the world (just one left!). How did your previous relationship end and what positive lessons have you learned which will help you succeed in future relationships There is so much to be said for being friends first, but look forward to getting to know you.

Short Answers Describe the type of relationship you are looking for. What qualities would you like in this relationship or person Are you seeking a particular age range In a man I appreciate industriousness and initiative, a calm confidence, and a big smile. I would like someone who is fit (into sports or healthy and active), fun, financially responsible and who wants and is able to travel with me from time to time. His faith in God should lead his actions and character.
Describe a little of your personality and character traits. (Are you funny, laid back, more serious, open, shy, etc. ) Family is important to me - I live close to my 2 brothers, 2 sisters, nieces, nephews and mum and like to see them often. I am pretty active, and play a variety of sports (ice hockey, snow skiing, hiking, biking, rollerblading, tennis, badminton, dancing), though not as much since I had my daughter, due to lack of time. Travelling is my big thing. I like adventure/travel books/movies. I'd like to meet someone who is serious about a relationship which could lead to marriage. I love a good laugh, am generally logical and practical, and appreciate common sense in the male gender! I am pretty motivated, believe learning is a lifelong activity, and I think I'm pretty fun to be around! Describe your Christian faith. Where are you at and what are your goals What Scripture verses are important to you I was raised in Christian church, attend services usually 2-4x/month, and pray daily. It is very important to me to raise my/our children with someone who will also raise them as Protestant (I'd prefer Baptist, but Alliance, etc are all similar enough). What would be the perfect setting for a first meeting with a new friend or date Describe it :-) Probably coffee, at a nice sidewalk cafe in the sunshine. That way we could always get a suntan if nothing else...haha! What are your favorite activities (Including sports, leisure, artistic/musical, etc.) Dance lessons, traveling, sports, (as above), going to the gym, reading, TV reality shows (sorry!), movies, going to the park with my 4-year old. Describe your current occupation. Do you like what you do What is your dream job I have a satisfying career as an associate lawyer in a firm which defends the provincial motor vehicle insurance company in personal injury actions. I've been doing it 8 yrs and it's still interesting. I went to part-time last year to spend more time with my daughter and it was the best thing! I am happy, still make good money and have time to relax. My dream job would be a lawyer for 4 mos of the year, travel writer for 4 mos of the year, and 4 mos off! One day I might get my teaching certificate and teach high school law and French, because I think teachers are such an important profession (we have 4 teachers in my family). Where did you go to school (i.e. high school or college/university, etc.) What did you study Did you like it Would you like to do more I live in the same town where I grew up and went to school, North Vancouver, BC. I love the area and want to raise my daughter here. My undergraduate degree was in French, with a minor in Spanish. I also studied German Italian but have forgotten most of those! I studied French in Quebec and went to the University of British Columbia for law school. I love languages so have studied Russian, Japanese, Arabic, Swahili and Portuguese on my own before traveling. What are some of your personal goals in life To help others when I can, have a healthy, happy family life and see the world. Not much, eh ! How did your previous relationship end and what positive lessons have you learned which will help you succeed in future relationships I was with someone for 6 years who professed to be Christian and was baptized during our relationship but he really didn't live life according to the principles in the Bible. We were engaged to be married, so I booked a honeymoon. The wedding was postponed a few months but, despite good advice, we went on the honeymoon anyway. For a generally smart person, I did a dumb thing - I was weak in giving in to his desire to be intimate before the wedding, and I am now reaping the consequences in life as a single mom (after I got pregnant he decided he did not want to get married). That was my wake-up call and I am, accordingly, not interested in sex before marriage. Where were you born Have you ever traveled If so, where What is your ideal adventure I was born in North Vancouver, BC. I've been fortunate to go to 44 countries, 26 states, 5 provinces and 1 territory. I climbed Mt Kilimanjaro last year, took salsa lessons in Cuba and hangglided in Rio. I have a lifelong love affair with traveling and don't see myself ever stopping. Feb/Mar 08 I will be going to Antarctica, Chile, Bolivia, Peru and Argentina (the latter for tango lessons!). Still have to walk the great wall of China, do the Full Moon Party in Thailand, shop in Hong Kong, drnk a Singapore Sling at Raffles, climb Mt Fuji and Everest Base Camp, see Prague, Budapest, Santa Fe, Charleston, India, explore Laos and Vietnam, and fit in a Caribbean cruise somewhere in there. Every trip is an adventure - some turn out to be ideal, some not, but always, always interesting! Is there anything else you would like to add This is your chance to get in that last (but not least:-) bit of important info that you would like others to know. monebaggasse
