For me, these four issues have one common thread: religion. Each of these issues brings religious beliefs and practices into question, which ultimately calls on our nation and its "Christian" values. Forgive me if I laugh.

The first line in the Bill of Rights says, "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion." It's there, in black and white, for all to see. The framers put it there and it hasn't been erased. base business home internet

I know, cheap pop. In all reality, these aren't conservative or liberal issues. They're moral issues that call into question what a person believes and how they interpret, at least for 70 percent of this country, the Bible. business opportunity vending

In reality, only 47 percent of the nation claims to be regular churchgoers, but that's another story. To use the Bible as grounds for an argument for a national law or policy is as flawed as reasoning gets. business christian home

Leviticus says that homosexuality is an abomination. Although I don't agree with this view, it is there. But the Bible, specifically Exodus 31:14, says that anyone who works on the Sabbath should be put to death. best business franchise

By this account, say goodbye to all those Sunday studiers, professors who grade papers on the weekends and Caf ladies who feed us that wonderful brunch. We could make an event out of it . let's stone them publicly! based business christian home

While stoning is a fad I would rather not see again, it makes about as much sense as making laws based on Christian or Biblical beliefs. Like I said previously, 70 percent of the country claims to be Christian. Even if that is the majority, how many of those Christians interpret the Bible in the exact same way? 10 percent? 20 percent? I would be willing to bet the house I don't have that the answer is far less than the majority. business free home opportunity

This is exactly why religion should come no where near politics. business opportunity uk

When the majority of people don't even agree on a so called "belief" that should become a law, what justification is there for making it? business find home opportunity

The answer is simple. There is no justification for it. Senators should not base their laws on what their religion says. President's should not justify laws based on their religion and supreme court justices, the highest officials when it comes to the law of the land, shouldn't make laws based on Biblical or religious texts. business income internet
