A Golden George

Business Home Internet Namco Bandai announced today that the game Curious George, based on the upcoming animated feature film, has gone gold for the Playstation 2, Xbox, GameCube and Game Boy Advance. The game will be released on February 1st and has been rated E for Everyone by the ESRB.

The game will allow players to interact with all the familiar faces from the movie. Playing as George, gamers must jump, swing and climb through 12 stages of action, including the jungle, the museum and the big city. On top of the main game, there are several bonus features available such as unlockable cut scenes from the movie, concept art, and mini-games.

Jeff Lujan, business director at NAMCO BANDAI Games America Inc. spoke proudly about the latest incarnation of a classic tale. "We are excited to be one step closer bringing this lovable character to life in console and handheld video games. By working together with Universal, were taking a fresh approach to a classic brand offering plenty of fun, curiosity and family-oriented gameplay."

Curious George was developed for the consoles and the PC by Monkey Bar Games, and was developed for the Game Boy Advance by Torus Games through a licensing agreement with Universal Studios. For the second year in a row, TV film resulted in an Emmy nomination and a Golden Globe victory for Jolie (the first was George Wallace, 1998).
